The Vineyards at Summerfield
Fall Festival 2007
Vineyards Fall Festival Update
What a great November day for a Fall Festival! The Social Committee hosted a Harvest Festival on Saturday November 10th at the clubhouse. Nearly 20 families were in attendance for the festivities.
During the 3-hour period, there were various fall festival games for children to play such as a pool of prizes, go fishing booth, face painting, and arts & crafts. The children really enjoyed the prizes.
As far as traditional games go, sack races were held. There were 4 categories of sack races: younger children, older children, women and men. The men were the funniest – just take a look at the photos and you will see why!
Everyone supplied food and drinks to the event – the tables were full of wonderful food and treats! Hot chocolate, apple cider and popcorn were provided as well which were perfect for a fall festival.
Each family contributed $10 which aided in subsidizing the cost of the bounce house/slide combo. Thank you to everyone who attended!!
At the finale of the day, several hayrides were taken by children and adults. George and Cathy Stone graciously supplied their car and trailer full of hay for these fun rides around the neighborhood. That was a wonderful way to end the event.
Many thanks to the Social Committee and other volunteers that day (teens and adults) who helped make this another successful event for the neighborhood!
